Coonoor Tea Trade Association (CTTA) was formed in 1963. The first auction was conducted on 23rd March 1963 with70 lots comprising 20,303 kgs of tea from 43 factories.

 

Coonoor Tea Trade Association auctions around 50 million kgs of Tea annually with the advantage of consistent offerings throughout the year & is home to small sector Tea Producers & Corporate Plantations situated within the district of Nilgiris & also the corporate sector plantatios located in other District of Tamil Nadu as well as Kerala

 

The aims & objects of the Coonoor Tea Trade Association provide clearly for promoting & protecting the interests of all its constituents & to further the interest of the small tea growers & factories in particular

  Coonoor Tea Trade Association takes pride in initiating as well as successfully implementing the electronic auction platform & also the settlement banking system, the first auction center to do so.
 

We have always been & will always be ready to implement any progressive initiatives aimed at better price discovery & transparency in tea trade.

The Coonoor Tea Trade Association CTTA is managed by
